A few key kitchen tools you may want to have to hand when it comes to making these Chicken Dishes:
- Kitchen Tongs – whether you are grilling chicken or cooking it in a pan – you are going to need a good set of kitchen tongs to make sure they are evenly cooked.
- Knife Set – depending on the cut of chicken and how your are using it – you need a variety of nice sharp knifes in your kitchen.
- Meat Thermometer – chicken must always be thoroughly cooked before serving. You need to achieve a minimum of 165degF internally, and you need a meat thermometer to do that.
And without further adieu – here are My Favorite Chicken Dishes from the blog!
Elote Enchiladas – Enchiladas are a staple in my kitchen. I make them a few times a month and try to do them slightly differently each time. Much like tacos or pizza – you can get real variety by changing up the protein as well as the sauce used and the cheese types. For this recipe, I combined a roasted chicken with a creamy red sauce and the flavors of elote street corn. These Elote Enchiladas were so good – I had made extra to have for lunch the next day, and they didn’t survive the meal!
Dutch Oven Chicken Dumpling Soup – Fall is just around the corner and that means it’s time for cozy meals. And it doesn’t get much cozier than a hearty soup made in a Dutch Oven. Chicken Bacon Pizza – So many think that making pizza at home has to be a big undertaking. Even making the dough from scratch, still not that rough. It just takes a little bit of planning ahead (need about an hour for the dough to rise). But it’s even easier if you use store-bought par-baked pizza crusts. Even when you love pizza as much as I do, you don’t want the regular red sauce and pepperoni pizza every time. This Chicken Bacon Pizza is a great change of pace with a simple white sauce and easy toppings.
Smothered Chicken & Potatoes– Some meals are classics that will live on forever. And most of those have some form of gravy and get to be called smothered! The result is this fantastic Chicken Fried Chicken Sandwich, that your family is bound to request again and again.
Chicken & White Bean Soup – A creamy hearty soup loaded with plenty of chicken, white beans and veggies – this recipe for Chicken & White Bean Soup is going to be enjoyed any night of the week. The creamy homemade alfredo sauce melts down into the rolled up pasta stuffed with garlicky chicken, parmesan ricotta and fresh spinach.

Smoked Teriyaki Chicken – It has been a bit since I shared a smoker recipe. It is not because I have fallen out of love with my smoker by any means. A simple marinade of bone in chicken (I use drumsticks, but you can use thighs too – just adjust the cook time to add more to be sure it’s cooked through) and then slow smoked before grilling a glazing for a sticky delicious teriyaki chicken.
