What’s been going on at Homemade on a Weeknight?

This week was a rough one. My second oldest son has left for Army Bootcamp. We spent this last week getting him all squared away to embark on this next chapter of his life. I also let him pick all of the meals for the week. It wasn’t until the Friday that I realized that while he had picked things he definitely enjoyed, we had also picked each of his three siblings’ favorite meals. We said a lot of prayers, shed a fair bit of tears and said so long to our newest solider. Its such a strange mix of proud and sad to watch your child turn into an adult right before your eyes.
