It is definitely finally heating up for the summer months here in Rural Montana! We have been hitting triple digits and staying well into the 80s and 90s for a few weeks now. My garden severely suffered – feeling very wilted, like me – due to the rapid temp change instead of a gradual increase. I have looked at the page views and stats to check out the popular recipes posts from last month. There are no surprises here – at least for me, maybe you missed one of these posts? Either way I hope you enjoy checking out the Five #MostPopularRecipes of Last Month – MAY-2026. It is a countdown, so be sure to scroll to end of this post to see #1!

#5 – Cheesy Sausage & Tortellini
Some nights are just plain busier than others and you just need something quick and easy. And in my opinion that’s when Homemade on a Weeknight cooking has to take a detour and go #SemiHomemade. There is nothing wrong with incorporating a store bought ingredients to your homemade sauces. Some times you just don’t have the time to do both. That’s when you need a recipes like this one for Cheesy Sausage & Tortellini.
#4 – 15 Sandwich Recipes
If you have been around this blog for any length of time than you are aware of my love for sandwiches – or what I like to call Entree Sandwiches. Anyone that says a sandwich can’t be a whole dinner – isn’t make them right. I am not talking about a slice of bologna and cheese on plain white bread. I am talking about a fantastic bread – usually toasted – loaded up with prepared meats, homemade sauces, delicious cheeses, and a variety of veggies to make it a whole meal. I have pulled together some of my favorite – and most popular – Sandwich recipes so you can decide which ones you are adding to your menu plan for the next several weeks!
#3 – Grilled Ravioli Dinner #Blackstone
Ok, some weeknights, you need a total “cheaters” dinner that only needs five ingredients and takes about 20 minutes to pull together. Some days, it’s all you can do to even get dinner to the table without calling in an order or using the drive-thru. This Grilled Ravioli Dinner fits the bill for sure.
#2 – Smoked Teriyaki Chicken
It has been a bit since I shared a smoker recipe. It is not because I have fallen out of love with my smoker by any means. Quiet the contrary, it is just that I have been making a few things on repeat as we have been in this state of transition for a few months. And one of those things is this Smoked Teriyaki Chicken. A simple marinade of bone in chicken (I use drumsticks, but you can use thighs too – just adjust the cook time to add more to be sure it’s cooked through) and then slow smoked before grilling a glazing for a sticky delicious teriyaki chicken
#1 – Blackstone Cowboy Stir-Fry
I don’t usually make recipes that require a super specialized piece of cooking equipment (except maybe slow cookers), but I am so in love with my Blackstone griddle, I can’t help it. For the most part the other things I have made thus far can be made on the stove top, however this Blackstone Cowboy Stir-Fry really does the need the wide open flat space of the griddle. It is a total game changer for making meals like this for the whole family at once. By the by – this is not an ad for Blackstone products at all – my hubs got me one for my birthday this year and I just love it so very much.
