Sometimes you just really want to big plate of simple pasta – either as the base for some protein or as a meal on its own. This super simple sauce makes plain pasta taste exceptional – and who can resist some.crispy bacon added in. Easy Bacon Garlic Pasta is going to be something you want to make again and again.

Substitutes and Variations:
You can swap out the bacon for panchetta if you like. I use spaghetti noodles but you can use any style of long pasta like linguini or Fettuccine. You can also use a short pasta like shells or rotini, it will just eat slightly differently.
Suggestions for Sides:
This goes really well with a simple Grilled steak or chicken breast. It also works great with some roasted green beans or asparagus. Maybe even some steamed broccoli or cauliflower.
Tools that may make this recipe easier:
There are really no special tools for this super simple recipe. Its all basic kitchen things like a knife to cut the bacon, a whisk to mix the sauce and a couple of pots for cooking.

Easy Bacon Garlic Pasta
Ingredients
- 2 lb Spaghetti Noodles
- ½ lb Bacon cut into ½-inch pieces
- 2 cups Chicken Broth
- 2 tsp Granulated Garlic
- 2 tsp Italian Seasoning
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Dried Parsley
- 2 tbsp Corn Starch
Instructions
- Start water boiling for pasta.
- In a large measuring cup, whisk together broth, corn starch and seasonings.
- Add pasta to boiling water and let cook as directed on the package. Drain water from pasta and return pasta to pot.
- In a small saute pan, fry bacon pieces over medium high heat until crispy. Remove from pan to a paper towel covered plate. Reserve 2 tablespoons of the bacon grease in the pan (discard the rest). Reduce heat to medium and slowly stir chicken broth mixture into bacon grease.
- Bring just to an even bubble and then reduce heat to medium low and simmer until pasta is cooked. Then pour over drained pasta in pot and add cooked bacon.
- Use tongs to coat the pasta even then serve right away.
