The classics are classics for a reason, and when it comes to the American version of tacos – the Classic Beef Taco Supreme is where it’s at. Simple ground beef flavored with classic taco seasoning topped with an easy quick pico is just a delightful dinner for your next #TacoTuesday.

You will notice that for most of my taco recipes I suggest grilling – or at the very least warming – your tortillas before building the tacos. This is a super quick extra step that makes meh tacos into magic tacos. It doesn’t just make the tortilla more pliable, it adds a layer of flavor from the grill marks. I like to use my trust stove top grill pan with a just a quick spritz of cooking oil (I prefer an avocado oil, as it has a much hire smoke temp that other oils).
I have included my recipe for taco seasoning below the recipes (I like to be able to control the amount of salt that goes into our food). You can also use your own version or anything from a packet or a bottle from the spice aisle. The simmer process is important to the meat, as that’s what gets you that almost gravy like coating on the beef.
My kids can eat three or four of these in one meal, so I either make extra or make some cilantro lime rice and sometimes some refried black beans. These are also super hefty and can be the whole meal – it’s really up you.
