What’s been going on at Homemade on a Weeknight?
As I reported to yall last week – winter is basically here! And of course the animals around here forgot to check their calendars….because we have a WINTER CHICK! Just a random winter chick wondering in the fresh snow shivering. We got it into a bin with a heatlamp and it looks like it will probably make it. It would also seem that our young cat – Mango – has taken a shine to the little one. He has been climbing into the bin and snuggling the chick when it starts to peep. Having a single chick is going to be tricky, as they are social animals and we do not have any others this age. Hopefully it will adapt well to our flock when we are able to let it be out with the rest of the birds.
