What’s been going on at Homemade on a Weeknight?
We are in full swing of back to routine around here! The kids are back at school, with our oldest back to A-school finishing his training to be an Electrician in the US Navy. For some being back to routine, means being back to the same old recipes on repeat. I have only recently learned that the way I menu plan is vastly different than how other households tackle things. While I do a “taco night” and “burger night” and maybe “pizza night” each week – it is very rarely the same exact recipe each week. I view cooking as my creative outlet and making the same version of something over and over feels like painting the same picture again and again. Don’t get me wrong, I have my tried and true things – like my husbands birthday lasagna – that I make each year. But on the week to week, I like to try new things so that no matter what each day – there is something to look forward too. Does anyone else menu plan this way?
