What’s been going on at Homemade on a Weeknight?
Another week has passed, and once again, I haven’t been able to cross everything off my to-do list. I did get one of the most important things done – located the ingredients to make my youngest boy’s birthday dinner as her requested it. He wanted grilled shrimp and Chinese barbecue pork fried rice. The difficult item of the barbecue pork – but in the end we got it and he enjoyed his 17th birthday. Does your family have a specific birthday tradition?

That sounds like a delicious birthday dinner. In our house the birthday boy (or girl) gets to pick what they want for dinner and dessert and we do our best to accommodate.
