What’s been going on at Homemade on a Weeknight?
We are all still trying to recover from the aftermath of the ice storm. The entire community was hit hard (some definitely harder than others, as even now some are still without power). We were exceptionally lucky in that we only lost power on one day over the last two weeks and it was only for about three hours. We did lose quite a few limbs from our trees with damage to two of our patio covers (complete loss) and minor damage to our deck. Having all the kids home for 10 days after just being on winter break – well lets just say there was a bit of tension. Which I chose to remedy with baked goods! I made some Peanut Butter Cookies, Tres Leches Cake, Cinnamon Rolls and Buttermilk Biscuits – which were all mostly successes.
What have you been up to this past week?
Here is the most popular recipe on my blog this last week: Garlic Lovers Jelly
In case you missed it, here are the recipes that I shared to the blog this week:

Good morning Estelle, visiting the crew this morning and everything looks great, like always! Great features today and the copycat fried chicken certainly has my name on it…Glad your household is back to normal, we about needed an Ark here in East Texas. Have a great week ahead, take care.
Sorry to hear about the deck and the patio covers but your baked goods sure sound and look so tasty!
Great minds think alike with that copycat chicken, as I featured it too! Sorry to hear about the deck, it’s always frustrating when things like that happen! Here’s to the rest of the week going better!
Baked goods remedy so much, don’t they? Hope this week is better and more on track now that the ice storm has passed. Thanks so much for cohosting each week! Always fun to stop by!
Hi Estelle! We stopped by once again to share two Super Bowl posts (#198 and #199) and to visit a few more sites! As always, thanks to you and your cohosts for providing this fun opportunity for us all!
