What’s been going on at Homemade on a Weeknight?
The time has finally come and our son is headed off to USMC Bootcamp. He will spend the next 13 weeks becoming a US Marine and we are so proud of him. But it really is Bittersweet for the parents, isnt it. On one hand you are immensely proud of them and the solid choices they have made for their future. And on the other hand, it is scary as hell to send your 17 year old baby boy off to do big boy things with no safety net (ME!). You would think with being our 3rd son to send off to bootcamp, we would be old hat at this but no such notions. It does not get any easier. If you are the praying type, please say a prayer that God will watch over my boy as he conquers this next chapter of his life.
