What’s been going on at Homemade on a Weeknight?

As of late, I have gotten a lot (more than previously) of requests for people to add guest posts on my site. I know this is so that they can put in links that will gain revenue for them and that’s not what’s making me unsure about it. I am wondering what that does to the authenticity of one’s site. At this point, every single post on this site has been my own work. Even these linky blog posts are my own content, with the shared link-up and supporting graphics being the only aspect that isn’t totally unique to my site. So I have two questions – 1 for other bloggers – have you done this and was it successful and 2 for the readers – would you be interested to see guest posts?

What have you been up to this past week?

This last week’s most popular recipe was: Cowboy Stir-fry (this post had an astounding 8K views last week)

Blackstone Cowboy Stir-Fry

In case you missed it, here are the recipes that I shared to the blog this week:

  2. All these recipes look so good! I have had guest bloggers a time or two (back when I was a homeschooling blog and didn’t always have time or the inclination to write posts each day to share) and to be honest I never thought they did very well and, not to snobby, but I often felt like they weren’t really “up to snuff” or my standards either. It’s great if you want to take a mini break and not have empty post-less spaces on your blog but other than that I didn’t really see a huge benefit.
