What’s been going on at Homemade on a Weeknight?
As we recover from the ice storm we are starting to look to the spring time for our Micro Homestead! My absolutely amazing husband has started by building our ever growing flock of chickens what I like to call a chicken mansion! It is about 4 times the size of the space they had before – and you know what that means……. MORE CHICKENS!!! Miss Sue and I stopped over at the feed store to pick up some netting and ended up bringing hope three adorable little Lavender Orppington chickens! This is a breed of chicken that I have wanted for several years – because they really are Lavender when they are all grown up. And orppingtons are a very hearty chicken that lay some big beautiful eggs. So allow me to introduce our trio of Spice Sisters – Sage, Saffron and Sesame
What have you been up to this past week?
Here is the most popular recipe on my blog this last week: Chile Relleno Soup #slowcooker
