Who is Estelle Forrest?
I am a lot of things – wife, mother, niece, friend, business owner, volunteer, and a home chef. I have lived in the Pacific Northwest for most of my adult life and plan to stay forever. We are currently embarking on our next chapter of life as we make the move to create our life dream of being Homesteaders, in the great state of Montana.
We like to go go go, but when it comes to dinnertime, we mostly like to dine-in! I love to create things with my hands and have probably tried almost every craft out there at least once or twice. Cooking is a huge part of my life. No matter what anyone says – you can taste the difference in the food if it was made with love. Some of the simplest meals can be elevated so much when they are cooked with care. Pouring love into the meals I create brings a feeling of fulfillment and satisfaction, not only to me, but to the people I care about.

What is Homemade on a Weeknight?
For a lot of families, weeknights are so full of activities—sports, homework, housework, concerts, recitals, appointments, clubs, the list goes on. And we often feel like we must go to a drive-thru, eat some ready-made meal or a quick prep meal from a box. But it really is not true. Most of the reason we feel like we cannot cook homemade or “real” food on a weeknight is that we do not have the right set of tools in our arsenal.
We need good, easy to follow recipes that have regular everyday ingredients. We need a few basic cooking techniques. And we need a plan. That is really all you need to start making homemade dinners every day of the week. Preparing a home cooked meal almost every day of the week is a sure way to get a true sense of accomplishment each day – you get to see your success on a plate!
So, let’s get cookin’!
As much I would love to be able to offer an AD and Affiliate link free blog to the world – it’s sadly not feasible. Between hosting fees and fees for various features of this blog – like printable recipe cards – as well the ingredients and equipment needed for recipe development, I have to have at least something coming in to break even. So while I am not thrilled with the ask, I must do what needs be. I do have a few products that are for purchase (Like the Homemade on a Weeknight Cookbook, and the Burgers on a Weeknight Cookbook,), as well as some eBooks that are in the works. Homemade on a Weeknight is graciously requesting your support with any sort of monetary donation. It can be one time donation, a monthly donation or even a yearly donation. Anything helps alleviate the stress of the financial side of things.
