What’s been going on at Homemade on a Weeknight?
School has started here. The kids have survived their first week, and I’ve also managed to make it through my first week as an official lunch lady! The temperature is finally coming back down to something a little more manageable. And through it all, we have been setting up some long-term things. Like keeping some of our meat birds as breeding stock. And this last week, they started laying their own eggs! I have also been trying to put up some canned goods – like jam, pickles, and tomato sauce.
