Equipment

  • 2 Half Sheet Baking Trays

Ingredients

  • Pizza Dough enough for 2 pizzas, see recipe below
  • 3 cups Mozzarella Cheese shredded
  • 2 lb Italian Sausage links
  • 1 cup Parmesan Cheese shredded
  • 2 Red Bell Pepper diced
  • 2 tsp Parsley Flakes

For the Parma Rosa Sauce

  • 1 28oz can Crushed Tomatoes
  • 1 15oz can Tomato Sauce
  • 1 tbsp Italian Seasoning see recipe below
  • 2 cups Heavy Cream
  • 2 cups Parmesan Cheese shredded

Instructions

  • Prepare pizza dough, per recipe (if using provided recipe, prepare up to first parcook, if using another dough recipe, prepare as directed on package).
  • In a saucepan over medium heat, add crushed tomato, Italian seasoning and tomato sauce. Bring just to a bubble and add heavy cream. Once bubbling again, stir in parmesan cheese. Once incorporated, reduce heat to low and let simmer until ready to build the pizzas.

  • Start to build one pizza by ladling on sauce and spreading evenly. Sprinkle with 1 cup of mozzarella cheese. Next add half of sausage and half of red bell pepper. Then sprinkle with half cup each of mozzarella and parmesan. Repeat with on second pizza.
  • Place in 425degF oven for 15 minutes. Remove from oven and sprinkle each pizza with parsley.
