30 Minute Sausage Carbonara

Ingredients
  

  • 2 lb Long Pasta spaghetti, linguini
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 8 strips Thick Cut Bacon cut into ¼inch pieces
  • 4 Garlic Cloves minced
  • 1 tsp Red Pepper Flakes
  • 1 tsp Italian Seasoning plus more for garnish
  • 1 tbsp Dried Minced Onion
  • 1 lb Italian Sausage
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream
  • 1 cup Parmesan Cheese grated, plus more for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Start water boiling for pasta. Add salt to water.
  • In a large saute pan over medium-high heat, add bacon, garlic, onion, red pepper flakes, and Italian seasoning. Cook for 4 minutes. Add sausage and cook and crumble until cooked through. Reduce heat to medium.
  • Add pasta to boiling water. Cook as directed on package. Add 2 cups of the pasta water to the sausage mixture. Drain pasta in a colander and rinse with cool water.
  • Add pasta to saute pan, along with cream and cheese. Toss to coat and combine.
  • Serve in a shallow bowl with a sprinkle of cheese and seasoning, as desired.
