In a large saute pan over medium-high heat, add bacon, garlic, onion, red pepper flakes, and Italian seasoning. Cook for 4 minutes. Add sausage and cook and crumble until cooked through. Reduce heat to medium.
Add pasta to boiling water. Cook as directed on package. Add 2 cups of the pasta water to the sausage mixture. Drain pasta in a colander and rinse with cool water.
Add pasta to saute pan, along with cream and cheese. Toss to coat and combine.
Serve in a shallow bowl with a sprinkle of cheese and seasoning, as desired.
