Orange Bourbon Chicken Tacos

The smokey flavor of bourbon and sweetness of orange glazed on chicken meatballs and put in a taco!

  • 15 Tortillas fajita-style
  • 1 cup Carrot shredded
  • 1 cup Cabbage shredded
  • 4 Green Onions
  • 1 tbsp White Sesame Seeds

For the Meatballs

  • 2 lbs Ground Chicken
  • 3 Garlic Cloves minced
  • 1 tbsp Fresh Ginger grated
  • 1 cup Panko Crumbs
  • 1 tsp Parsley
  • 1 tsp Sesame Seeds
  • 1 tbsp Sesame Oil
  • ¼ cup Soy Sauce

For the Glaze

  • 12 oz Orange Marmalade
  • 1 cup Orange Bourbon
  • ¼ cup Hoisin Sauce
  • 1 tbsp Sesame Oil
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp Ground Ginger
  • 1 tsp Red Pepper Flakes


  • Preheat oven to 400degF.
  • In a bowl, combine meatball ingredients thoroughly. Make in to 1-inch balls and line them out on a parchment paper covered baking sheet. Bake for 15 minutes Remove from oven and transfer, in a single layer, to a 13x9 baking dish.
  • Add glaze ingredients to a saucepan over medium heat and let simmer while the meatballs are cooking. Pour over meatballs in baking dish. Return to oven for 15 minutes longer.
  • Warm up tortillas by cooking on each side for about 30 seconds over medium heat.
  • Start with a warm tortilla, add sprinkle of cabbage and carrots. Add 3-4 meatballs then sprinkle with green onions and sesame seeds.
